This episode marks the debut of actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays one of the main antagonists of the comic book Negan,[2] the intimidating leader of the Saviors who rules in tyranny and, in turn, also marks the debut of Steven Ogg as Simon, a senior Saviors member who is Negan’s right-hand man[3] this episode is based on one of the best comics of its counterpart titled “Something to Fear”.
After nightfall, with time running out, Eugene (Josh McDermitt) offers himself as bait to distract the Saviors by driving the empty RV just to lure them in while the rest of the group loads up Maggie to take her to the Hilltop Colony through the woods on foot. However, when the group carries Maggie very weak on a stretcher, they end up running into the middle of a large group of Saviors, led by Simon who manages to subdue the group. They have already captured Eugene, along with Glenn (Steven Yeun), Michonne (Danai Gurira), Rosita (Christian Serratos), and severely wounded but alive, Daryl (Norman Reedus), the entire group is disarmed and forced to their knees.[8]
